Job summary

UPS in Reno, Nevada is seeking a reliable Temporary Automotive Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. The Automotive Technician will maintain a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers with diesel, gasoline, and alternative propulsion tech.

This 180-day assignment requires DOT compliance, a valid state driver’s license, and flexibility to work 1st–3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as Automotive Mechanic with heavy-duty vehicles.
• Experience with diesel and CNG systems.
• DOT inspections experience.
• Able to work varying shifts and overtime.
• Must have active driver’s license and be 21+.
• CDL Class A or B - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet DOT requirements as per assignment.
• Operate vehicles and power tools safely.
• Use diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
• Perform routine fleet maintenance on vehicles and trailers.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness on site.
