Job summary

Alliance Building Services is hiring a temporary janitorial cleaner for our Purchase, NY facilities. This 10-week role involves maintaining clean and hygienic client spaces, restrooms, and common areas across multiple shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd).

We seek a motivated, reliable candidate with at least one year of janitorial experience, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Transportation to Purchase is required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of janitorial cleaner experience.
• Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Reliable, punctual and detail-oriented.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have reliable transportation to Purchase.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors and surfaces.
• Emptying trash bins and recycling containers.
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, towels, and toilet paper.
• Reporting damages, repairs, or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Following health and safety protocols and wearing PPE.
• Moving furniture and equipment as needed.
• Performing minor maintenance such as bulb changes or leaks.
• Assisting with event setup and cleanup.
• Carrying out other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
