Job summary

Charleston County Sheriff's Office is seeking a meticulous Evidence Technician (Temporary) to support the Criminal Investigations Division. You will manage the evidence compound, track seized property, facilitate transfers, and maintain a secure chain of custody using digital tools.

The role is approximately 20 hours per week with a fixed schedule, no benefits, and an application deadline of Sunday, August 30, 2026. Strong accuracy and discretion are essential.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Honorably discharged from the military, if applicable.
• No felony convictions; misdemeanors may require expungement.
• No THC or marijuana use within 365 days; some drugs disqualifiers.
• No student loans in default.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
• Background checks and assessments will be conducted.
