Job summary

Camden County College (CCC) invites applications for a Temporary Part-time: HVAC Apprenticeship Instructor at the Blackwood Campus. The role focuses on delivering high-quality HVAC instruction to Level 1–4 apprentices during evening sessions, following an approved curriculum and hands-on lab work.

Responsibilities include lesson planning, organizing materials, assessing student progress, and staying current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC field.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Proficient written communication for reports, evaluations, and documentation.
• Strong verbal communication for classroom instruction and student engagement.
• Journeyperson HVACR experience or NJ Master HVACR Contractor License or registered apprenticeship required.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans supporting learning outcomes and workforce readiness.
• Organize and maintain instructional materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, including grading and attendance tracking.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback on performance, behavior and participation.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry standards, laws, regulations, and compliance; incorporate into instruction.
• Communicate with school staff regarding student progress.
• Model professionalism and respect to foster a positive school culture.
