Temporary Electronics Assembly & Lab Support Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Temporary Electronics & Calibration Lab Technician to support our client’s Electronics and Calibration Laboratories. This position combines hands-on electronics assembly with technical laboratory work, including testing, programming, inspection, and documentation of electronic temperature and humidity monitoring devices.

The ideal candidate will have previous technical, electronics, calibration, laboratory, manufacturing, or related hands-on experience and be comfortable following detailed procedures and working with electronic equipment. Strong attention to detail is essential, particularly when working with similar components, testing equipment, and calibration records.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic monitoring devices, including:
    • Assembling device cases
    • Applying labels
    • Installing batteries
    • Selecting and verifying the correct components and parts
    • Prepare finished products for customer shipment, including:
      • Performing visual inspections
      • Completing required paperwork
      • Applying labels
      • Safely handling customer equipment
      • Packaging and boxing finished products
  • Follow written procedures and work instructions accurately.
  • Verify correct parts are selected and used, paying close attention to similar part numbers (such as TL01-N and TL01-N Plus).
  • Calibration Room
  • Assist with the preparation, testing, programming, and inspection of electronic temperature and humidity monitoring devices.
  • Perform calibration activities using:
    • Controlled environmental chambers
    • Water baths
    • Dry wells
    • Reference standards
    • Calibration software
  • Follow approved calibration procedures, work instructions, and quality-system requirements.
  • Accurately document testing and calibration results while maintaining complete and traceable records.
  • Identify and report discrepancies or issues with equipment, components, or test results.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and basic upkeep of laboratory work areas.

Qualifications

  • Previous technical, electronics, calibration, laboratory, manufacturing, or related hands-on experience required.
  • Comfortable performing hands-on technical work with electronic equipment and components.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and follow written procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to distinguish between similar parts, components, and product specifications.
  • Comfortable using computers and learning calibration/testing software.
  • Ability to accurately complete technical documentation and maintain detailed records.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $18.00–$19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Assignment Length: Approximately 2–4 months, with the possibility of extension based on workload and business demand.
