Job summary

Metropolitan Community College seeks an experienced nurse educator to deliver the Certified Medication Technician program and supervise student competency in clinical labs. Instructors are responsible for course planning, lectures, assessments, and maintaining regulatory standards.

The role requires an unrestricted Missouri RN license, a CMT Instructor/Examiner certificate, and workshop completion. Prior long-term care experience is preferred and registration with the state DHSS is expected.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Missouri RN license or temporary Missouri RN permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction for the Certified Medication Technician (CMT) program, ensuring students gain knowledge and skills required for safe medication administration.
• Develop and deliver course lectures and instructional materials aligned with program objectives and state regulations.
• Supervise and assess student performance in practical laboratory sessions and medication administration procedures.
• Evaluate student competency through testing, observation, and documentation of skills proficiency.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
• Ensure curriculum compliance with state regulations and industry best practices for medication administration.
• Participate in program evaluation, improvement initiatives, and activities that support student success.
