Job summary

Chisago County is seeking a temporary Building Inspector to perform inspections to ensure codes and regulations are met, review construction plans, issue notices and citations, and prepare required reports under the Building Official's supervision.

The role requires a MN certification as Building Official Limited and a High School diploma or GED with extensive experience, or equivalent education/experience; 10-40 hours/week, $50/hour.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting building inspections and enforcing codes.
• Ability to read plans and determine code compliance.
• Experience with plan reviews and permits.

Responsibilities

• Review plans for code compliance and issue permits.
• Inspect sites during construction and upon completion.
• Issue Certificates of Occupancy.
• Assist in zoning investigations and enforcement.
