Job summary

TSC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Temporary Assembler I to support our production division at the Discovery location. This entry-level role focuses on basic to intricate electro-mechanical assembly using standard workmanship and procedures.

You will read wiring lists and drawings, set up and operate tools, and help train newer assemblers while following safety and quality standards. The position offers a stable environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 0-1 years of production and/or assembly experience.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Will be required to stand, walk, and use hands constantly.

  • Reads and interprets wiring lists and assembly drawings and works to work orders using visual aids, ECNs, and schematics.
  • Uses hand or power tools to trim, shim, cut, and adjust components; may set up and operate automatic prepping, loading, and insertion equipment.
  • May assist in instructing and training lower level assemblers and may perform rework from test failures.

Job description

TSC's is seeking a Temporary Assembler, I at our Huntsville, AL Discovery location to support our production division.

Responsibilities:

Performs basic and intricate electronic/electro-mechanical assembly functions on prototype and production type hardware according to company workmanship standards and military or client specifications. Assists in the development and wiring of engineering models and in the development of assembly methods and wire lists. Uses hand or power tools to trim, shim, cut, and make other adjustments to fit components together and align them properly. May assist in instructing and training lower level assemblers. Reads and interprets wiring lists and assembly drawings and Works to work orders using visual aids, ECN’s, and schematics. May perform any rework from test failures in accordance with standard repair procedures and may set up and operate automatic prepping, loading, and insertion equipment. The employee may frequently be required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms.

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
