Job summary

Acuren is recruiting temporary API 510/570 Inspectors for Turnaround/Outage/Project work across the United States. Assignments vary in duration and location, supporting client turnaround needs nationwide.

Inspectors perform visual and NDE exams on pressure-retaining equipment per API/ASME, document findings, and provide technical recommendations. Some roles require API 653 or CWI; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site experience.
• API 653 or CWI certification is a plus.
• In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

Job description

Acuren is currently recruiting for temporary API 510/570 Inspectors (other API certs a plus) for Turnaround/Outage/Project work across the US.

This position is part of our U.S. Workforce Deployment Team, which supports customer turnaround, outage, and project staffing needs across the country. Assignments vary in duration based on project requirements and business demand.

Responsibilities

• At the direction of client, perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
• Submit to client technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition
• Provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment, as required for safe operation within stated operating parameters for durations specified by client
• Provide technical input to client as required for welding and metallurgical issues
• Provide technical guidance, on a application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures
• Fully comply with all Acuren and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives
• Willingness to travel if needed

• Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers

This position offers the opportunity to work on turnaround, outage, and project assignments at customer sites across the U.S. Employees are hired on a temporary, casual basis to support specific business needs.
