Temporary Affordable Housing Maintenance Technician (REF9175H)

Position Type: Full-time, Temporary

Location: U52 - Station by Vintage, 16830 SE Wax Rd, Covington, WA 98042

Property Name: Station by Vintage

Pay Range: $18 - $20 per hour, Bonus Eligible

Requirements: Valid unrestricted US Driver's License, ability to drive site-owned golf cart, own small tools (if applicable), high school diploma or equivalent, technical school/CAMT certification preferred, ability to wear a respirator, proficient in English, at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Duties include repairing flooring, drywall, appliances; troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, safety, security, HVAC systems; painting; cleaning; and supporting safety protocols. This role supports client satisfaction within budget and management guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Relations: Implement owner’s philosophies and ensure client expectations are met.
2. General Maintenance: Follow maintenance programs, perform preventative maintenance, ensure property aesthetics, assist with inspections, and serve as on-call emergency support.
3. Unit Turnover: Inspect and repair vacant units, coordinate painting, replace appliances, ensure timely turnover completion.
4. Equipment & Systems: Maintain community equipment, secure parts and supplies, keep tools and stores organized, wear uniform, and maintain inventory.
5. Inspections: Prepare properties for NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, CALFHA inspections, and collaborate with stakeholders.
6. Other Responsibilities: Enforce community rules, comply with Fair Housing laws, promote professional image, communicate effectively, and maintain tools and safety standards.
