Multifamily Property Management

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Responsibilities include repairing flooring, drywall, appliances, troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, safety, security, and HVAC systems, painting, and cleaning. All duties must be performed in accordance with company policy and safety protocols, supporting client expectations within the operating budget.

Compensation

$18 - $20 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Client Relations

• Implement the philosophies and wishes of the Owner to meet client objectives and expectations.

2. General Maintenance

• Follow maintenance programs for safe and proper property condition.
• Assist with inspections and emergency services as needed.

3. Unit Turnover

• Perform inspections and repairs on vacant units.
• Coordinate painting and appliance changes.

4. Maintenance Equipment and Systems

• Maintain equipment, inventory, and safety standards.
• Wear appropriate uniforms and provide personal tools if applicable.

5. Inspections

• Prepare properties for NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, CALFHA, and other inspections, ensuring compliance.

6. Other Responsibilities

• Enforce community rules, comply with Fair Housing Laws, and uphold professional standards.
• Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role or related fields such as hotel maintenance, facilities, or construction.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or CAMT certification preferred.
• Ability to wear a respirator and pass medical fitness requirements.
• Proficiency in English.
• May need to supply and maintain personal tools.
