We have more than 50,000 outpatient visits, 4,500 surgeries per year. Teaching, research and the highest quality clinical care are top priorities for the Department. The residency and fellowship programs are highly ranked and have a history of training leaders in healthcare.**Job Information****Job Summary:**Under general direction from the Operations Manager, the Temporary Administrative Support will perform complex and diverse administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine.**Responsibilities:*** Manages section Visitor Program, for both short term and long-term visitors.* Manages routine section events, section calendar, and faculty call schedule. Resolves many office problems independently and facilitates solutions, conferring with supervisor to resolve the most complex issues.* Manages special projects, functions, and events and orientations and various outreach events.* Coordinates office functions, including developing and implementing office procedures and policies.* Serves as a resource to faculty and colleagues in interpreting Department, University, and Hospital policies and guidelines.* Manages other personnel matters, including the faculty recruitment process.* Monitors faculty expense accounts and advises faculty of problem spending patterns.* Receives, processes, and tracks all bills and expense reimbursements.* Composes and edits correspondence and other documents.
