At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not tenure-track, not a part of the faculty bargaining unit, and are not included in membership of faculty Senate.

Required:

• Master's Degree in Chemistry or related field.

Preferred:

• PhD in Chemistry
• Experience teaching college level Chemistry.
• Professional experience in the Chemistry or Biochemistry fields.
• Professional experience in Chemistry, such as Research or Consulting.
