Job summary

St. John Vianney Catholic School seeks a dedicated long-term substitute for the 3rd grade during the first semester of the 2026-2027 academic year.

Under the supervision of the Principal, the teacher will uphold the school’s Catholic mission and core formation goals. The ideal candidate will deliver lesson plans, manage the classroom effectively, communicate with parents, and cooperate with parish and diocesan administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required.
• Active Tennessee teaching license and/or Catholic educator credential preferred.
• 2–5 years of prior teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan engaging lessons aligned with grade standards.
• Deliver classroom instruction for 3rd grade.
• Grade assignments and provide timely feedback to students.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress.
