Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Temple Facilities Assistant 2 (Full time) to support the temple's operations and maintenance. You will assist in maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and ensure temple facilities meet established standards.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment, budgeting support, and working with the Temple Facility Manager.

Qualifications

• Two years of technical training in a skilled trade plus four years of related experience.
• Experience in physical plant operation and skilled trades such as electrical, electronics, plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting, and construction.
• Shop organization and inventory management skills.
• Ability to rotate shifts and operate with basic computer skills and licenses as required by law.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sees that all heated and air conditioning equipment and controls operate efficiently.
• Maintains and repairs electrical systems and lighting.
• Maintains and repairs temple mechanical and electrical systems as directed by FMAT and Temple Facility Manager.
• Assists in preparation of yearly facilities budget process and related admin tasks.
