Job summary

Cox & Company, a leader in solving the aerospace industry's most challenging ice protection and temperature control problems, is seeking a dedicated Electronics Assembler for its Temperature Control Systems Department. With over 80 years of experience working with OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and major modification and finishing centers worldwide, we pride ourselves on delivering high‑quality, full‑lifecycle support from initial design to aircraft integration and operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electronic subassemblies according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
  • Perform detailed inspections and testing of assembled components to ensure quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality protocols.
  • Document assembly processes and test results accurately in company systems.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of assembly procedures and workflows.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in electronic assembly, preferably within aerospace or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, wiring, and soldering techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet production deadlines.
Education / Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with Electro/Mechanical assemblies is a plus.
  • Experience with wire strippers, crimping tools, and soldering.
Proficiency Skills
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings (blueprints).
  • Experience reading and following Manufacturing Procedures or Specifications to accurately complete job assemblies.
  • Ability to perform repetitive assembly operations.
  • Basic arithmetic ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in all units of measure.
  • Ability to apply common‑sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions and handle standardized situations with minimal variables.
  • Ability to work with various small tools and parts.
  • Proficiency with wire strippers, crimping tools, and soldering irons.
  • Good reading vision, color discrimination, and clear verbal communication.
Computer Skills
  • Ability to use basic file systems to navigate to and open drawings and manufacturing procedures.
  • Experience using a scanner for time/attendance/work traveler.
