Job summary

The position requires supporting evening, weekend, and irregular hours, with responsibilities in load-ins, rehearsals, performances, and strikes.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to 36 semester units of related college coursework.
• Three years of related professional or technical experience required.
• Ability to support classroom instruction by performing classroom demonstrations related to production.
• Ability to work with faculty and provide training and supervision to students involved in productions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the methods and problems in multiple production specialties.
• Working knowledge of safety measures and hazards in theatre productions.
• Must be available to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PAC productions, performances, and events by managing technical schedules and resource needs.
• Provide technical leadership and work direction to staff, students, interns, and visiting artists.
• Assign crew responsibilities based on production needs and skill levels while monitoring safety.
• Provide technical directions for lighting, rigging, audio, video, projection, and related systems.
• Review technical riders and assess equipment, staffing, and budget requirements.
• Lead production meetings and communicate schedules, timelines, and event plans.
• Provide on-site leadership during load-ins, rehearsals, performances, and load-outs.
• Resolve technical issues during events and provide after-hours coverage as needed.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including ground plans and lighting plots.
