House Beautiful is seeking a Temporary Assistant Social Media Editor to bring its storytelling to life across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and emerging platforms, while helping grow an engaged home and design community.

Based in the New York City office, you will execute cross‑platform strategies, maintain the content calendar, collaborate with editorial, art and photo teams, and craft social‑first campaigns with strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills for home and lifestyle content.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of social media content experience in a publisher, media company, or brand.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Passion for home, design, and lifestyle content.
• Familiarity with major social platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook.
• Experience with analytics and publishing tools (TrueAnthem, Parse.ly, Dash Hudson).

Responsabilités

• Execute cross-platform social media strategy to grow audience and engagement.
• Develop and maintain the social content calendar for editorial initiatives.
• Create, schedule, publish content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and more.
• Monitor performance and share insights with editorial team.
• Collaborate with editorial, art, commerce, and photo teams on storytelling.
• Stay updated on social trends and opportunities for growth.
• Support day-to-day social publishing workflows and deadlines.
