Job summary

Talbots in Eastwood, Lansing is seeking a part-time retail associate who brings selling and styling expertise to help customers create outfits and build brand relationships.

You will greet customers, assist the management team, stay informed on fashion trends, work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and contribute to store metrics while delivering excellent service.

• Demonstrated selling competence, styling expertise, and love of fashion.

• Excellent verbal communication and integrity.
• Comfortable using computer/iPad/handheld systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships.
• Welcome customers in a warm and engaging manner as a greeter and/or answering the phone.
• Take an active role in assisting the management team to build store business.
• Support all service enhancers to build strong relationships.
• Service multiple customers at a time, multi-task and/or handle projects simultaneously.
• Be aware of fashion trends and seek information about all new arrivals, including product knowledge about fit, color, fashion etc.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits for customers and suggest items to match their needs.
• Maximize individual performance by participating in learning opportunities, accepting direction, coaching and feedback.
• Support the achievement of sales and service metrics in key measurable areas including: clientelling/outreach, appointment setting and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete projects as assigned including operational assignments: filling orders, replenishment, folding, recovery etc.

Who You Are:
