Job summary

Amphenol Network Solutions, Inc. in Liberty Lake, WA, seeks an incoming quality auditor to ensure materials meet manufacturing drawings, standards, and PO information.

You will provide technical support for quality and reliability issues and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires interpreting drawings and using measuring equipment, with 1–3 years of QA experience preferred in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 1-3 years QA experience preferred.
• Able to interpret drawings/schematics; telecommunications product knowledge a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and process basic math.
• Perform work with proper material handling techniques, following quality standards and safety precautions.
• May require forklift/pallet jack/hand truck use.
• Assist with regular clean-up duties as needed.
• Adapt to production demands and schedules; show cross-cultural sensitivity.
• Experience working in a team environment or independently.

Responsibilities

• Follow the incoming inspection procedure.
• Performs inspection of materials based on PO, drawings, ANS and Epicor standards using measuring equipment.
• Evaluate and report information on returned products due to defects.
• Identify accepted and rejected material with labels.
• Document incoming inspections in Epicor.
• Send rejection information to the buyer and generate DMR report.
• Close DMR/RMA in the system when required.
• Conduct operational process audits and records in web database.
• Inform supervisor of improvement opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Help maintain QA area and equipment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The incoming quality auditor, Ensures that materials submitted by identified supplier for inspection meet the requirements of manufacturing drawing, standards, and PO information; guaranteeing that the material used for the assembly of our products has the required quality. Provide technical support and analysis for quality and reliability issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow the incoming inspection procedure
• Performs inspection of the required material, based on PO, manufacturing drawing, ANS and Epicor standards, using the appropriate measuring equipment.
• Able to perform evaluations and reports information on products that are returned due to defects or other quality related reasons.
• Identify the accepted material and identify rejected material with appropriate labels provided by Manager or Supervisor.
• Performs the necessary incoming inspection transactions in Epicor documenting the measuring equipment used.
• Sends rejection information to the buyer and generates DMR report.
• Close DMR/RMA in the system when required.
• Conduct operational process audits and records in web database.
• Inform Supervisor or Manager of improvement opportunities identified in the process contributing to continuous improvement.
• Helps maintain QA area and equipment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED require 1-3 years preferred QA experience, in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Able to interpret drawings/schematics, experience in a plus Telecommunications product knowledge a plus
• Ability to read, write, and process basic math
• Perform all work assignments with proper material handling techniques, following quality standards and safety precautions
• May require the use of a forklift, pallet jack, and/or hand truck
• Assist with regular clean-up duties as needed
• Adapt and accept changes based on production demands and schedules
• Display cross-cultural sensitivity while working in a diverse employee population
• Experience working in a team environment, and/or independently
• May be responsible for other duties assigned

COMPUTER SKILLS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

An employee in this position works in an open manufacturing and office environment. The employee may be required to work on or around equipment that produces radiant heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, industrial chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, though the employee may occasionally be subject to higher noise levels.

COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $20-$22 (annualized for all non MFG positions, even if hourly) Status: Non-Exempt
