Job summary

Qualifications

• This position requires education in excess of the first 60 semester hours.
• One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience for GS-5 positions.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requests for adequacy, specifications, and funds.
• Evaluate substitutions to expand competition by checking catalogs and contract files.
• Solicit quotes and negotiate with vendors on pricing and terms.
• Prepare award documentation and perform post-award follow-up.
• Maintain accurate purchase data in the procurement system and correct data as needed.
• Coordinate with Small Business Specialists on procurement needs.
• Attend technical reviews, pre-award conferences, and site walk-throughs when required.
