Job description

We are seeking a Temporary Photographer to join a Creative Services team for approximately five months contributing to the photography needs across various divisions, focusing on toys.

In this role youll report to the Photography Manager and be responsible for capturing a wide range of photography styles, including product, artistic, lifestyle, and event shots, both in studio environments and outdoor settings, from initial capture to final editing.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the distinct features and designs of toy costumes and accessories, ensuring creative alignment, efficiency and effectiveness.

- Plan, execute, and edit high-quality product photography that highlights the intricacies, textures, and craftsmanship.

- Produce visually captivating images for marketing materials, catalogs, online platforms, and social media, adhering to established guidelines.

- Utilize lighting techniques, composition skills, and post-processing methods to elevate the visual appeal of product images.

- Maintain a consistent photographic style that reflects the brand identity and product positioning in accordance with existing guidelines.

- Assist in setting up photography shoots, selecting props, and arranging product displays for optimal visual impact.

- Track project status in the management system and organize digital assets according to departmental standards.

- Process raw files with color adjustments and proper file naming conventions.

- Perform photo edits as required.

The ideal candidate has the following experience and skills:

- 6-8 years of professional experience in a mid-sized company.

- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent trade school experience.

- Proficiency in operating DSLR or mirrorless cameras, lighting equipment, and photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).

- A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to capture product details and textures, especially with consumer products, including in-package and out-of-package images, focusing on challenging materials like metallics, translucents, and reflective surfaces.

- High level of visual storytelling and creativity, conveying a sense of playfulness in your images.

- Skilled in photo retouching, including color correction, compositing, masking, resizing, and optimization.

- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities.

- Capability to manage high-volume workloads effectively.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset for working within diverse teams.

- A passion for toys, costumes, and imaginative play

- Familiarity with Sony camera setup and functions is advantageous.

- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Bridge).

- Experience with video tethering setup and broadcasting via Google video chat.

This is a temporary position in the Fort Lauderdale (FL) area, hybrid model (Monday-Thursday onsite, Fridays remote). 100% remote is not a possibility for this opportunity.

Pay rate is $25-30/hr, DOE.
