Job summary

The University of New Mexico-Gallup is seeking a qualified temporary part-time adjunct faculty member to teach lower division language courses listed above. Your responsibilities include delivering engaging lectures, meeting during assigned times (which may include evenings or weekends), developing assignments, grading, and reporting grades in alignment with division guidelines.

Minimum qualifications require a Bachelor's degree with native fluency; Master’s or Doctorate and prior college

• Preferred: Master's degree or Doctorate in the language studied and college-level teaching experience.
• A demonstrated commitment to cultivate understanding of the cultures of New Mexico and to the university's mission.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower division courses in listed languages as specified above.
• Meet the class at assigned times, including evenings or weekends.
• Deliver content, assign and grade assessments, and report grades per division guidelines.
• Assess student learning and align with course outcomes.

The Liberal Arts & Education Division at the UNM Gallup is seeking a qualified temporary part-time faculty member to teach lower division classes in various courses or topics as specified above. UNM Gallup instructors are responsible for all aspects of any class they are teaching including but not limited to meeting with the class during assigned times that may include face-to-face, evenings or weekends, content delivery, assignment development, grading assignments, reporting of grades, and assessment of student learning as outlined by the division chair.

Positions are contingent upon need each semester as determined by student enrollment levels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven by graduation requirements. Positions may be filled or eliminated each semester up to the deadline for students to drop or add courses. Candidates who are selected for these positions will report to the division chair.

Wages

Adjunct Faculty are currently compensated on the basis of their credentials and credit hour course loads.
