Job summary

PMM Companies is seeking a General Cleaner to maintain cleanliness across our premises in Landover, MD. This part-time role runs 5:00 PM–9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom sanitation, trash disposal, restocking supplies, and operating cleaning equipment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to our cleanliness standards while following safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum all areas of the facility.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and fixtures.
• Empty trash and recycling regularly.
• Wipe down and sanitize surfaces such as desks and door handles.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers).
• Report maintenance needs to Facilities Manager.
• Assist with events/meetings setup and cleanup.
• Follow safety protocols and company hygiene standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
• Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins regularly.
• Wipe down and sanitize surfaces, such as desks, countertops, and door handles.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up after events or meetings.
• Follow established safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 to 50 pounds.
