Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City seeks temporary faculty to teach driving courses, ensuring ELDT compliance and delivering comprehensive instruction in theory, pre-trip inspections, backing maneuvers, and on-road skills.
Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of commercial driving, a valid CDL and DOT physical, and will undergo MVR checks. This pool position supports MCC’s Transportation and Supply Chain programs and operates under MCCKC guidelines.

Metropolitan Community College is the oldest public institution of higher learning in Kansas City, Missouri, founded in 1915 as the Kansas City Polytechnic Institute. The Junior College of Kansas City, as it was known starting in 1919, was one of the first schools in the country to award an associate degree. Today, MCC offers 125 associate degree and certificate programs.
Metropolitan Community College comprises five campuses on the Missouri side of the Greater Kansas City area 47 major buildings and about 550 acres in all: MCC-Blue River, located in Independence, Missouri; MCC-Longview located in Lee's Summit, Missouri, MCC-Maple Woods located in the Northland of Kansas City, Missouri; MCC-Online and MCC-Penn Valley, located in Midtown Kansas City, Missouri.
MCC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. In addition, several programs have specific accreditations as well.

Temporary faculty serve the college and students by providing high quality instruction and engaging in instruction related activities. Temporary faculty are expected to perform all duties associated with teaching an assigned course to include all course preparation, meeting with students, entering grades, and other duties related to course delivery. Upon employment temporary faculty must maintain updated credentials as required by the college’s accrediting agencies.
Employees assigned responsibilities through Workforce and Economic Development may be compensated based on assigned work units or clock-hours, in accordance with MCCKC guidelines for temporary employment.
