Job summary

Complete Care at Summit Ridge is seeking a Recreation Aide for a temporary day-shift position running from October 30 through January 2027 in West Orange, New Jersey. You will support residents by planning and implementing engaging activities, monitor participation, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure a safe, joyful environment.

Qualities include energy, empathy, teamwork and creativity; a High School Diploma is required, and computer basics are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Previous long-term care experience preferred but not required.
• Energetic, creative, empathetic and a team player.
• Implement scheduled programs and assist residents as needed.
• Monitor resident behavior during events and communicate to nursing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage activity attendance calendars.
• Assist in preparing and displaying holiday decorations throughout the facility.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Activities and Administrator.
