Job summary

Alliance Building Services is seeking a temporary janitorial cleaner for a 10-week assignment in Purchase, NY. You will maintain cleanliness across client facilities, including restrooms, kitchens, and common areas, with day, night, and third-shift options.

Requirements include at least 1 year of janitorial experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, flexible schedule including weekends/holidays, reliability, punctuality, strong communication, and reliable transportation to commute to Purchase.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of experience as a janitorial cleaner or porter.
• Be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
• Be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have reliable transportation to be able to commute to Purchase

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors and surfaces
• Emptying trash bins and recycling containers
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, kitchens, and common areas
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Reporting any damages, repairs, or safety issues to the supervisor
• Following health and safety protocols and wearing protective equipment
• Moving furniture and equipment as needed
• Performing minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or fixing leaks
• Assisting with event setup and cleanup
• Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor
