Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Abilene, TX is seeking a Porter to support quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles before delivery. The role involves maintaining shop and office cleanliness, pre-washing vehicles, and transporting cars to sublet locations.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in customer service and/or auto detailing, with a valid driver's license and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office and production areas.
• Pre-washes and post-service exterior/interior cleanup of customer vehicles.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.
• Ensure WOW plan is consistently executed.

Job Description

Gerber Collision & Glass - Clack, Abilene, TX

1 - 2 years prior experience in customer service excellence preferred 1-2 years previous car detailing / washing preferred

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Details

$14.00 - $19.00 + / Hour Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
