Job summary

Barnes & Noble is seeking a Bookseller (Temporary) in Westport, CT. You will welcome customers, help locate titles, shelve deliveries, manage displays, and operate the register with a focus on friendly, professional service.

You’ll work with the team to maintain store presentation and support various departments, including cafe and backstock, as needed. This temporary position emphasizes reliability, flexibility across shifts, and a positive, proactive attitude to engage readers and connect them

Responsibilities

• Build book knowledge across fiction, nonfiction and children’s books.
• Maintain appealing presentations and sections in the store.
• Make book recommendations to customers throughout varied sections.
• Assist customers at the register and provide friendly, professional service.
• Help unload deliveries and shelve merchandise efficiently.
• Support the café team when needed and uphold loss-prevention procedures.
