Job summary

Tory Burch LLC is seeking an Assistant Designer for our Footwear team in New York. You will help develop concepts from concept through production, updating sketches and CADs as designs progress, and preparing tech packs for review.

A strong portfolio and hands‑on experience with luxury retailers are essential. Ideal candidates have a degree in Fashion Design, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and the ability to manage multiple seasons in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Portfolio showcasing luxury/fashion design work.
• Internship experience with a luxury retailer preferred.
• Strong hand and digital sketching skills in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop.
• Proficiency in CAD and producing tech packs for footwear development.

Responsibilities

• Collect, track and organize design information for each style.

The individual in this role should have studied or have some experience in Design, with an interest in Footwear. They must be highly organized, detail oriented and adaptable to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. They should be passionate and creative and possess an elevated aesthetic and eye for detail to match the Tory Burch brand.A Day in the Life:Help build seasonal design boards and keep them up to dateUpdate sketches and boards as the development progressesCollect, track and ensure all information is compiled and easily accessible related to each styleAssist building tech packsCreate and execute CADs using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesignTake notes in design/sketch meetings and capture all updates to designsPrep samples and protos for reviewCompile trend research and organize/upkeep vintage and inspiration archiveTo Land This Role:Associates of Arts or Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent fieldInternship experience with a luxury retailerHigh proficiency in Adobe Creative SuiteStrong hand and Illustrator sketching skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to learn and take on new challengesDemonstrate resourcefulness and apply creative thinking to issuesAdaptability in a fast-paced environment, ability to work on multiple product seasons at one timeMust provide digital portfolio of workThe compensation range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr.
