Job summary

Sanmina-SCI Systems de México in San Jose, California, is seeking an experienced SMT Program Developer to create and maintain programs for SMT AOI equipment using Factory Logix software. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the SMT field and the ability to program AOI machines.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure program performance and troubleshoot any issues. A strong understanding of electrical assemblies and ability to read CAD files are required. The position may require overtime and weekend work.

Job Purpose

Responsible for developing and maintaining programs for SMT AOI Equipment.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

Create and maintain programs for AOI machines using Factory Logix software. Monitors equipment lines to ensure proper program performance, process efficiency, and ongoing quality. Works with production, engineering and machine operators to maintain equipment and to ensure efficient operation of work centers to meet production schedules. Performs customer specified modifications to programs (ECOs). Troubleshoots programs / equipment problems and fault corrections.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting the SMT team
• Ability to program AOI machines is required; the ability to work on Saki and Yestech machines is a plus.
• Experience reading and interpreting CAD files
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Must have basic understanding of electrical assemblies
• Must be available for OT and weekend work as required in addition to the minimum 40 hr./wk
