Job summary

QPS Employment Group has a great Production position available in Fort Madison, IA. This is a 1st shift, temporary position. You will open boxes and inspect products, verify seals, and identify quality issues to ensure only approved product is moved forward.

Responsibilities include repackaging, palletizing, following safety procedures, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Strong detail orientation and dependability are required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, inspection, or quality control experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to identify defects and ensure corrective actions are completed accurately.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently throughout the workday.
• Good organizational skills and dependability.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 8-10 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Open boxes and inspect packaged products during the quality rework process.
• Tap the tops of cans and containers to verify proper seals.
• Identify containers that do not meet quality standards.
• Remove improperly sealed containers and replace them with approved product.
• Repackage and close boxes after inspection and rework are completed.
• Palletize completed product for shipment or storage.
• Follow established quality procedures to ensure products meet company requirements.
• Perform repetitive inspection tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all required safety procedures and PPE requirements.
