Job summary

Central Bank of St. Louis is seeking a teller who primarily supports the teller line while being cross-trained to handle new accounts.

You will conduct deposits, withdrawals, payments, and account openings, delivering friendly service and accurate cash handling. You will maintain cash drawers, courteously assist customers, perform basic banking transactions, and refer customers to banking specialists as appropriate.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Prior banking experience is a plus.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• PC and typing skills required.
• Attention to detail required.
• Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong customer relations skills and cooperative attitude.
• Ability to operate teller and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily deposit services including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other related matters.
• Maintain cash drawer within prescribed limits; balance daily.
• Accurately count and disburse cash and handle currency.
• Verify and balance cash drawer; maintain over/short records.
• Prepare forms for Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements.
• Understand and apply security procedures; know post-robbery procedures.
• Provide exemplary customer service in person and by telephone.
• Open new accounts and perform account maintenance requests.
• Cross-sell bank products and services; refer to other units as needed.
• Attend required training and adhere to company standards.
