Lighthouse Credit Union in Biddeford, ME is looking for a Member Service Representative I to handle routine deposits, withdrawals, and payments while building strong member relationships.

As a full-time, onsite position, you will identify member needs, offer appropriate products, and support cross-sales efforts with a focus on service excellence and accuracy.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of teller / customer service experience or similar.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office tools.

• Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and related transactions accurately.
• Balance cash drawer and ensure privacy and security in all dealings.
• Assist members by offering products and services to meet needs.
• Initiate conversations to deepen relationships and refer for cross-sell opportunities.
• Maintain standard operating procedures and assist with audits as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under close supervision of management, the Member Service Representative I will focus on the unique opportunity to identify needs to enrich our members' lives. The Member Service Representative I conducts routine transactions such as deposits, withdrawals and payments, while proactively offering additional products and services. The Member Service Representative I focuses on initiating high-quality conversations to deepen member relationships and refers members for account opening, lending and other cross-sale opportunities as appropriate. Ownership of the experience is crucial as the Member Service Representative I will be a single point of contact to develop member relationships.

Location: Biddeford, ME

Pay: Hourly + incentives

Hours: Full-time

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately and efficiently process deposits, payments, withdrawals, cash checks, wires, fraud packets, etc. in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Balances cash drawer/TCR and manages all transactions with accuracy and courtesy while maintaining privacy and security.
• Fulfills members requests by providing outstanding services and problem resolution focusing on matching member needs to applicable products and services.
• Initiates conversations with members to deepen relationships and refers members for account opening, lending and other cross sell opportunities.
• Performs all operational and procedural tasks associated with the role. May assist the branch staff to complete audits or other operational functions.
• Follows and adheres to the Credit Union's policy regarding attendance and punctuality.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of similar related experience as a teller, cashier or in a member/customer service role.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

The working arrangement for this position is fully onsite. No alternative working arrangement is available.
