Job summary

First Hawaiian Bank is seeking a friendly Teller at our Main branch in Honolulu to help clients with daily banking needs and provide accurate transactions.

You will work a Monday–Friday schedule with Saturday rotation, offering opportunities to grow within the bank and improve your cash handling and customer service skills while assisting diverse customers with confidence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of cash handling experience.
• One year of customer service experience; knowledge of financial services industry.
• Pleasant and tactful when interacting with customers.
• Good oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to use judgement and discretion with confidential information.
• Able to balance cash with calculator.
• Sales skills to enhance business development opportunities.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $18.00 - $21.50/hr., commensurate with experience; plus sales incentives

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:30PM; Saturday on a rotational basis 8:30AM - 1:30PM (hours may vary)

Responsibilities

As the face of First Hawaiian Bank in our branches, you will provide exceptional customer service to our clients, process financial transactions accurately and efficiently, and maintain a thorough understanding of our products and services. You will have the opportunity to serve a diverse group of customers, from individuals opening their first checking account to seasoned investors managing their wealth.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of experience in cash handling
• One year of experience in customer service Knowledge of the financial services industry (e.g. retail, mortgage/loans/deposits, and wholesale banking)
• Must be pleasant and tactful when interacting with customers
• Good oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to use judgement and discretion regarding customer transactions and confidential information
• Able to handle confidential matters judiciously
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations and balance cash with the assistance of a calculator
• Possesses sales skills to enhance business development opportunities
