Job summary

First Horizon Bank in Wilkesboro, NC is seeking a Teller to handle cash drawer, process transactions, and support daily branch operations. The role focuses on accurate cash handling, customer service, and adherence to bank policies.

Qualifications

• 6 months of cash handling or teller experience strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash drawer with proper controls and follow audit/security policies.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments for customers.
• Process miscellaneous transactions (bonds, money orders, etc.).
• Assist in balancing and processing ATM transactions and entries.
• Assist with vault duties and deposits in night/lobby depository.
• Stay informed of operational updates to ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Deliver excellent client experiences and resolve client issues promptly.
• Assist clients with select service needs and upsell bank products where appropriate.
• Attend sales, service, and product knowledge trainings.

• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payment transactions for customers.
• Process miscellaneous transactions (bonds, municipal coupons, money orders, etc.).
• Assist in daily balancing and processing of ATM(s), including the processing of all entries.
• Assist in the verification of deposits in the night and lobby depository.
• Assist with the dual control vault responsibilities.
• Stay informed of all operational updates and changes to ensure compliance with all current guidelines.
• Deliver excellent client experiences consistently and promptly resolve client issues effectively.
• Ensure an excellent overall client experience by assisting clients with select service needs.
• Enhance individual knowledge to better serve clients by attending relevant sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.

Sales and service

• Identify cross selling opportunities and refer clients/prospects to the appropriate team.
• Promote bank products and services to further enhance client relationships.

Compliance and risk management

• Expected compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, internal controls, and the First Horizon code of ethics.
