Job summary

National Bank in Radford, VA seeks a full-time Teller to assist customers with transactions and deposits in a fast-paced branch.

The successful candidate will work in a team atmosphere, handle cash accurately, and promote bank products while delivering excellent customer service in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to balance cash drawers and prepare teller sheets.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills in branch transactions including night deposits and ATM balancing.
• Balance cash drawers and prepare teller sheets.
• Use computer system to verify account status.
• Develop knowledge regarding bank products and services.
• Look for opportunities to promote bank services.
• Greet customers and receive or handle deposits of all types.
• Handle proportional volume of work based on branch demands.
• Perform basic client service maintenance (address changes, stop payments, transfers, etc.).
• Follow policies and procedures to minimize risk.

The proper applicant will manage traffic flow in an efficient manner. Prior retail experience is a definite plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Guide members through complex transactions with confidence, knowledge, and accuracy
• Desire to build relationships with businesses and individual customers
• Develop skills in all types of branch transactions including, but not limited to, night deposits, ATM balancing, and more in-depth system knowledge.
• Balance cash drawers and prepare teller sheets
• Use computer system to verify customer account status
• Develop knowledge regarding bank products and services

• Receives payment on all types of loans
• Greet customers and receive or handle deposits of all types
• Handle proportionate volume of work based on branch demands
• Performing basic client service maintenance (account reconciliation, address changes, stop payments, account transfers, processing check orders)
