Job description

Position Summary

The Bank Teller will ensure the financial service needs of each customer are promptly, accurately, and courteously fulfilled.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Engage clients as the first point of contact as they enter the branch.
  • Provide account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, and recording night and mail deposits.
  • Answer questions in person or on telephone and refer customers to other bank services as necessary.
  • Record transactions by logging cashier's checks, and other special services; prepare currency transaction reports.
  • Cross-sell bank products by answering inquiries, informing customers of new services and product promotions, ascertaining customers' needs, and directing customers to a branch representative.
  • Reconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions, counting, and packaging currency and coins.
  • Follow all audit and security policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Travel to any branch location for support as requested by management.
  • Attend seminars and meetings as requested by Branch Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
