Job summary

Kearney Price Chopper in Kearney, MO is seeking a Teller to handle daily cash transactions, deposits, and withdrawals with accuracy and customer service. You will process transactions, balance drawers, and support cross-selling of banking services.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and basic computer skills. This is a full-time position with benefits including health, dental, vision, life, and 401(k) matching.

Responsibilities

• Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts and endorsements.
• Cash checks and pay out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Enter customers' transactions into computer to record transactions and issue receipts.
• Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
• Order daily supply of cash and count incoming cash, including large bags of coins.
• Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift against computer records.
• Promote and cross-sell other establishment products and services such as internet banking, cashier’s checks, trust and investment services.
• Load new accounts and account maintenance in Computer System.
• Remove deposits from, and counts and balances cash in, ATMs and night depository.

• Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
• Order daily supply of cash, and counts incoming cash. Including handling large bags of coins.
• Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift. Compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
• Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services such as internet banking, cashier’s checks, trust and investment services.
• Load new accounts and account maintenance in Computer System.
• Remove deposits from, and counts and balances cash in, automated teller machines and night depository.

Qualifications and Skills:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Basic computer skills.
