Job summary

Security Financial Bank in Black River Falls is seeking a Full-Time Teller to join our Main Street branch. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, handling deposits, withdrawals, and inquiries with a friendly smile and attention to detail.

This role features a daytime schedule, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday mornings and a shift differential. We value relationship banking, ongoing training, and community involvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior customer service and cash-handling experience.
  • Knowledge of bank products, services, and federal regulations is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, professional attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, and routine transactions.
  • Verify checks, endorsements, and proper identification.
  • Balance cash drawer daily and assist with branch balancing tasks.
  • Answer customer inquiries in person and by phone, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Refer customers to other SFB team members for specialized services.
  • Support branch operations and ensure compliance with regulations.

Whether helping someone cash their paycheck, opening the door for a new relationship, or answering questions with a smile, you'll play an important role in creating a positive banking experience. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday with an occasional rotating Saturday morning (plus Saturday shift differential). Your responsibilities will include:Assisting customers with deposits, withdrawals, and other routine transactionsVerifying checks, endorsements, and proper identificationBalancing your cash drawer daily and assisting with branch balancing tasksAnswering customer inquiries in person and by phone, while maintaining confidentialityReferring customers to other SFB team members for specialized servicesSupporting branch operations and ensuring compliance with regulationsWhat We’re Looking For:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior customer service and cash-handling experienceKnowledge of bank products, services, and various federal regulations is a plus!Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and ability to balance transactions accuratelyA friendly, professional attitude and willingness to learnProficiency with computer and comfort learning new systemsWorking conditions, including physical requirements:Work is performed largely within the Bank with limited chance of personal injury. Prolonged and frequent mental, audio, visual, and verbal concentration required in responding to customer requests, computer work and viewing monitors. Fine motor skills to operate mouse and keyboard. Periodic stressful situations in response to multiple priorities within established deadlines. Work hours are generally daytime hours Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays.Must be able to stand and walk the majority of the work shift hours to serve customers at the Teller line and drive-up.Must be able to grasp and lift up to 40 pounds infrequently.Bending, stooping about 5-10% of the workday depending on the day’s job duties (such as vault counts).Serves as a representative of the organization at appropriate functionsWho We Are:SFB is an independent community bank with eight branch locations and more than 140 employees.
