Job summary

KQED Inc in San Francisco is seeking a Television Editor to lead post-production editing for our television programs, including Check, Please! Bay Area. You will edit with AVID Media Composer and integrate Interplay/MediaCentral assets.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere and After Effects, is required. The role requires end-to-end post workflow, color correction, audio sweetening, and delivery to Master Control for broadcast.

Qualifications

• Experience in post-production editing for television.
• Proficiency with AVID Media Composer.
• Familiarity with Interplay/MediaCentral.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Ability to manage ingest, color correction, audio sweetening, and final exports.
• Strong collaboration with production and editorial teams.

Responsibilities

• Utilize AVID production asset management system for offline, craft, and online edits.
• Review raw media and assemble into rough cuts and final programs.
• Create graphics and motion graphics as needed.
• Collaborate with production and studio teams to realize show concepts and scripts.
• Prepare program for delivery including color correction and audio leveling for Master Control.
• Deliver completed programs to Master Control for broadcast and archive media.
• Edit related program materials for digital distribution and promos.
• Improve and document media workflows and perform other duties as assigned.
