Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Teleradiologist to join our third shift team. This role is crucial for maintaining our commitment to 24/7 diagnostic availability, providing emergency diagnostic radiology services at a Level 1 trauma center in Des Moines, Iowa as well as additional hospitals across central Iowa.

Third shift volume is very manageable, with an average volume of 100 cases per shift, 6-7 RVU per hour, and an average range of 15-30 CT scans per shift.

Shift/Schedule:

10:00pm - 8:00am CST or 11:00pm - 8:00am CST
7 days on and 14 days off

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret various forms of radiological data during the evening shift, including X-rays, MRI scans, CT scans, ultrasound, and other diagnostic imaging studies.
Provide timely, accurate, and detailed reports to facilitate immediate patient care decisions.
Consult with on-call physicians or other healthcare providers to discuss clinical conditions and imaging results.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and practice guidelines concerning radiological practices.
Participate in peer reviews and quality improvement programs to enhance service standards and patient safety.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with a residency in Radiology.
Board certified in Radiology.
Hold or be eligible for a medical license in the state of Iowa.
Demonstrated proficiency in emergency radiology is preferred.
Strong technical skills with radiological information systems and PACS.

Base compensation: $450,000 with additional compensation opportunities.
