Job summary

UNC-Chapel Hill’s Department of Psychiatry seeks a psychiatrist to provide virtual care via the EPIC platform. The role splits between telepsychiatry consultations in ED and inpatient units and serving as a virtual attending for inpatient psychiatry patients.

You will work remotely, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient well-being and recovery. Responsibilities include EMR documentation and meeting regulatory requirements, with weekday days and occasional weekend calls.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required with board eligibility or board certification.
• Eligible for a North Carolina medical license or license-eligibility.
• Experience in telepsychiatry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide telepsychiatry consultations in Emergency Department and inpatient units across UNC Health.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records in EPIC and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in weekend call pool when required.
