Job summary

Riverview Health in Noblesville, IN is seeking a Nurse Aide to support patient care on the nursing unit. You will monitor patient condition, assemble charts, maintain EMR, and assist physicians with charts and records.

Responsibilities

• Watch monitors for dysrhythmia and identify rhythm strips at least every 12 hours and report major arrhythmia.
• Provide direction and assistance to visitors.
• Assemble new patient charts, replace charting material, maintain medical records, and place lab sheets on patient chart.
• Communicate well with peers, physicians, visitors, volunteers and other disciplines; answer intercom/phone promptly and refer calls appropriately.
• Oversee transportation of patients to diagnostic departments and discharge transport; prepare chart and secure help as needed.
• Oversee disbursement of new patient cards for charges daily.
• Assist physicians with charts and records.
• Maintain electronic medical record for each patient by timely entry of demographics.
• Maintain nurse's station in a clean, orderly fashion.
• Inventory and order office supplies and forms on the nursing unit.
• If applicable, function as testing personnel under CLIA1988 regulations for point of care testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Assemble new patient charts, replace charting material, maintain organized medical records, and place computer lab sheets on the appropriate patient chart.
• Communicate well with peers, physicians, visitors, volunteers and other disciplines. Answer the intercom or telephone in a timely manner and refer calls to the appropriate individual.
• Oversee the transportation of patients to and from the correct diagnostic department and oversee transportation for discharged patients. This includes but is not limited to: preparing chart and securing help when needed.
• Oversee the disbursement of new individual cards for patient charges on a daily basis.
• Assist physicians with charts and records.
• Maintain the electronic medical record for each patient by accurately and timely entering all patient demographics in the electronic medical.
• Maintain the nurse's station in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Inventory and order office supplies and forms on the nursing unit and keep them readily accessible for physicians and staff.
• If applicable, must function as testing personnel under CLIA1988 regulations as they relate to point of care testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
