Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• Preferred background in healthcare or nursing-related fields.
• Licensed practical nurse (LPN) or RN student with EKG training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient EKGs and alarms, verify correct rhythms and respond promptly to alarms.
• Observe all monitors and ensure timely responses to events.
• Perform EKG interpretations (rate, rhythm, intervals, ST changes) and confirm with RN.
