Job summary

METHODIST MANSFIELD MEDICAL CENTER in Mansfield, TX, seeks a Telemetry Technician to join our fast-paced telemetry unit.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary team to monitor ECG, interpret rhythms, and report changes; you’ll also handle routine clerical duties and support patient care.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a basic dysrhythmia course, annual recertification, and at least 6 months of telemetry experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Complete a basic dysrhythmia course with an acceptable score during orientation.
• Complete annual recertification in basic dysrhythmia with an acceptable score.
• At least 6 months related Telemetry (Monitor) Technician experience.

The Telemetry Technician provides continual observation and documentation of electrocardiographic patterns of monitored patients. Technician correctly identifies, interprets, and reports heart rhythms and rates and notifies appropriate personnel of significant changes. Have the ability to responds appropriately to emergency situations by documenting rhythms during a code situation and notifying physicians and staff.
