Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Oshkosh, WI seeks a Telemetry Monitor Technician responsible for surveillance of telemetry monitors, prompt notification of RNs about rhythm changes, and accurate hourly rhythm recordings.

You will run telemetry strips, report interruptions to nursing staff, manage daily transmitter and lead wire inventory, and handle confidential medical information in accordance with policy.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of telemetry education and competency completion within 6–12 weeks of hire.
• Excellent written and oral communications.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance on the telemetry monitors.
• Notify the Registered Nurse with any changes in the patient\'s heart rhythm.
• Record patient\'s heart rhythm hourly and as changes occur.
• Run telemetry strips for the Registered Nurse based on policy and procedure.
• Notify nursing staff promptly when there is an interruption in the telemetry signal.
• Provide daily inventory to maintain the correct number of transmitters and lead wires.
• Handle confidential information on a regular basis, usually of a medical nature (diagnosis, etc.).
