Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Telemetry RN Travel Nurse for an Abingdon, Virginia assignment. The role runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts, and is travel-focused.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care telemetry experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and an active Virginia RN license. You will monitor heart-related data and communicate findings to the medical team while providing bedside care.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care RN experience in telemetry.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Current Virginia RN license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and monitor telemetry equipment.
• Interpret and record electronic displays; notify medical team of irregular readings.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data and patient status.
• Assist with patient transfer and safe patient handling as needed.
