MedStar Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for FT Nights or PT Nights on the Observation Unit at MedStar Franklin Square. This 24-bed unit provides short-term monitoring for chest pain, syncope, dehydration, and abdominal pain, offering nurses exposure to diverse clinical presentations.

The role emphasizes telemetry, strong assessment, and time-management skills, with collaboration across physicians and support staff to deliver timely, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and BLS required.
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Strong telemetry background and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients across routine to highly complex needs.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify health concerns, and develop care plans.
• Coordinate interventions with the nursing team and physicians.
