Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred (BSN).
• Active RN license in the state(s) where practice; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care using evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, involving patients and families across the care continuum.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units within the service area to meet patient care needs.
• Provide age-appropriate care with growth and development considerations; apply department policies.
